UK – The British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA) has announced further details about its new members only promotional products trade show in September 2016: The event – to be known as The BPMA Show – will be held on September 14, 2016 at the Wing in Silverstone, East Midlands as a shell scheme based exhibition. On the day prior to the show, the BPMA Education Day will take place at the nearby Whittlebury Hall. At the same venue, the BPMA Annual Awards Dinner will be staged at the evening of the show. Up to 2015, both events had been organised in the course of the Trade Only National Show (now Promotional Product Expo).
With the show the BPMA is, according to Event Director Nigel Bailey, “fulfilling for our members the long held demand within the industry for a proper September exhibition and a member only event.”
BPMA Chairman Matt Franks added: “The launch is a significant, strategic step forward for the association. It allows us to be truly independent, with control over our own destiny, and to lead the industry as we have committed to do. As a not-for-profit trade association, BPMA are in a unique position to keep exhibitor costs low and deliver maximum value. Any surplus generated enables us to further invest in the industry and our members own business, through research, end user engagement and education.“
