D – The industry service provider PSI (Promotional Product Service Institute) has introduced a sustainability prize, the PSI Sustainability Awards, which aim to honour the certifications and own initiatives of the promotional products industry in the areas of CSR and sustainability. Based on the three pillars economy, ecology and social responsibility, the award evaluates the participating companies, their initiatives, products and campaigns. The awards are conferred in eight categories: Economic Excellence, Environmental Excellence, Social Excellence, Environment Initiative, Social Initiative, Sustainable Product, Sustainable Campaign and Sustainable Company of the Year. The award winners are selected by an expert jury comprising of seven members: In addition to the PSI Managing Director, Michael Freter, Reed spokesman Dr. Mike Seidensticker and the designer Lutz Gathmann, the jury also comprises of Nico Briskorn, Corporate Social Responsibility Director at VfL Wolfsburg-Fußball GmbH, the journalist Gaby Dietzen, Miriam Kehl, Associate Director of Green Alley Investment and Hugo W. Pettendrup, founder and CEO of HP-FundConsult.
Promotional products manufacturers and importers, promotional products distributors and users, advertising agencies and designers can submit their entries with immediate effect up until August 3, 2015. The participation fee for registering a product is 380 Euros, applications from companies cost 560 Euros and entering a campaign costs 460 Euros, all fees are plus VAT. PSI members only have to pay half of the entry fee.
