PromGifts, Brussels: Call for more commitment from the trade

B – The PromGifts took place at the Tour&Taxis in Brussels for the third time on March 18 and 19, 2015. The promotional products trade fair is an initiative of the Belgian promotional products association BAPP (Belgian Association of Promotional Products), which organises the event in collaboration with Advanced Fair. As in the previous years, the trade shows Entreprendre/Ondermemen and E-shop Expo were held simultaneously. According to the official figures, at the PromGifts 42 suppliers presented their products and services inside the “International Manufacturers Showroom”, surrounded by a further 33 exhibitors, including 16 promotional products distributors as well as further industry-related suppliers, such as incentive specialists for example. On the day before the show, Belgian promotional products distributors had the opportunity to visit the supplier exhibition – however not many distributors took advantage of this offer.

In total, 2,964 visitors were registered over the two days of the fair, the majority of whom were visitors from the other two simultaneously held events. 826 visitors attended on the invitation of BAPP. Different coloured lanyards identified the specific groups of visitors. Some people criticised the fact that the attendance of the number of the exhibiting distributors‘ customers was not higher – according to the prevailing opinion there is certainly room for improvement here. According to the organisers, in this connection the participating promotional products distributors are called upon to significantly increase their visitor marketing measures.

A detailed report will appear in the coming issue of eppi magazine, No. 104 (April 15, 2015).
