D – On January 9, 2015, the 53rd edition of the PSI Show closed its doors after three days of business. According to the organisers, Reed Exhibitions, 873 exhibitors presented their products and services this year in Halls 9 to 12 of the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre, which corresponds to a slight growth of 2.4% compared to last year (852). Some of the big suppliers, who hadn’t participated in the show in the past years, were also among the exhibitors – including PF Concept, Mid Oceans Brands, Macma, Senator, Klio-Eterna, New Wave and Promodoro Fashion – albeit with considerably smaller exhibition stands. Overall, the industry once again presented itself in a professional and creative light. The product trends this year included among others sustainability, high-quality designs and innovative packaging solutions. The newcomers and inventors, who exhibited in the “Hall 13 Area” in Halls 11 and 12, impressed the visitors with exciting and refreshing ideas. Several small suppliers also showcased their items in the Textile Area, which featured a catwalk, in Hall 10.
The overall attendance figures remained stable compared to the previous year with 16,290 visitors from the promotional products trade (2014: 16,234). The mood that prevailed at the show in the aisles and at the stands was noticeably improved – the industry is heralding in the promotional products year with pep and optimism.
The 54th PSI Show will be staged in Düsseldorf from January 13-15, 2016.
