Viscom Italia, Milan: Fewer promotional products players

I – The 26th edition of Viscom Italia – the International Trade Fair and Conference on Visual Communication – was staged in Hall 1 of the Milano Rho Exhibition Centre from October 16-18, 2014. The latest visual communication trends and technologies were presented, including of course diverse customising techniques, large format digital printing, digital signage, packaging and display solutions as well as event services.

According to the organisers, over 270 international brands – which corresponded to a 20% increase in foreign exhibitors – presented their products and services. In addition to diverse live demonstrations at the stands, the fourth edition of the DIVA – Display Italia Viscom Award – was staged, which was jointly conducted by the organisers Reed Exhibitions and the magazine Display Italia.

The trade fair was evidently well-attended, whereby the official attendance figure was not available at the time of going to press. The event was supported by various associations, the Italian promotional products association, Assoprom, was also represented. However, in contrast to previous years only a few promotional products players presented their collections: mostly textile companies. Apparently, this platform is less attractive than in the past for the suppliers of promotional products.

A detailed report will be published in the coming issue of eppi magazine, No. 102 (December 3, 2014).
