RUS – The 26th edition of the IPSA was staged at the Crocus Expo in Moscow, Pavilion 2, Hall 10 from September 23-25, 2014. The trade fair takes place twice a year, once in the spring and once in the autumn. This year the trade fair was organised by Reed Exhibitions for the first time and the autumn edition was supported by the PSI for the first time too (“powered by PSI”).
“The autumn fair is bigger than the spring edition,” confirmed Alexandra Galushko, Marketing & PR Manager Reed Elsevier (Russia). “Whereas many of the exhibitors present their new catalogue in the spring, the autumn edition, which 207 companies exhibited at this year, is the starting signal for the very important year-end business.“
The spectrum of promotional products was well represented. The exhibitors included manufacturers of specific products especially for the Russian market, specialists, importers and international generalists. Many internationally renowned brands – also from Germany – were represented. The visitors included both promotional products distributors and advertising agencies as well as industry customers. The official attendance figure was not available at the time of going to press, but by all accounts, the event was well attended. Many of the exhibitors praised the good organisation of the trade fair and the high level of internationality. One negative point: Several exhibitors complained about the sharp increase in costs for participating at the fair compared to the previous year.
The next edition of the IPSA, according to own sources Russia’s largest promotional products show, will be staged in Moscow in spring 2015.
A detailed report will be published in eppi magazine, No. 102 (December 3, 2014).
