UK – Fluid Branding designed a gift package for the 15,000 volunteers who worked at the 20th Commonwealth Games – an international sporting event that was staged in Glasgow, Scotland from July 24 to August 3, 2014. The British promotional products distributor had previously won the bid for tender.
The sets included a sports towel, a USB stick with a special video presentation as well as a sachet of thistle seeds. The USB stick made of soft PVC was designed in the form of the “Clyde”, the official mascot of the Games. On developing the set, which the organisers of the Commonwealth Games presented to the volunteers as a small token of their appreciation, the focus was placed on two aspects in particular: sustainability and conveying the brand identity.
