SuisseEMEX’14, CH-Zurich: Promotional products players have their own areal for the first time


CH – Under the motto “Feel Marketing. Experience LiveCom. Understand Online“, the 8th edition of the Swiss marketing trade fair, SuisseEMEX took place in Zurich from August 26-28, 2014. Around 320 exhibitors (2013: 350) from all disciplines of the marketing showcased their products and services in four halls of the Zurich Exhibition Centre: the theme in Hall 3 was “Offline & Crossmedia”, in Hall 4 “Online & Mobile”, in Hall 5 “Best of Promotion“ (this is where most of the promotional products players exhibited) and in Hall 6 everything evolved around “Event & Live Communication“. According to the organisers, approx. 11,600 visitors attended the event (2013: approx. 11,500).

For the first time ever this year, the promotional products players were represented at a special zone in Hall 5: The Swiss Association, Promoswiss, presented 26 suppliers in the “Promotional Products Idea Park” on floor space measuring 210 m². Approx. 30 Promoswiss members had pre-registered around 250 of their customers for a visit to the Idea Park. However, other interested visitors of the SuisseEMEX were also allowed access – their enquiries to the suppliers were randomly distributed to a promotional products distributor via the dMAS system. In addition to the promotional products companies in the Idea Park, some of the big Swiss distributors (among others cpt/Gemaco, Pandinavia, Cadolino and diewerbeartikel GmbH) as well as further suppliers exhibited at individual stands.

The biggest Swiss trade fair for marketing and communications was accompanied by a significantly streamlined congress programme: Instead of the up to 80 speakers who had taken part in previous years, 35 keynote speakers held lectures on diverse marketing themes in three arenas.
