S – This year’s summer edition of Promotionmässan was held in the Kistamässan in Stockholm from August 12-14, 2014. According to the official figures, 174 promotional products suppliers (winter edition 2014: 171) presented their fares and wares at the centrally located exhibition centre, which is situated close to Arlanda Airport. The exhibitors came from Sweden, the neighbouring Scandinavian and other European countries and included 40 first-time exhibitors. The largest promotional products fair in Scandinavia, which takes place twice a year – once in January and once in August – is organised by the exhibition organisers Artexis in collaboration with the Swedish industry associations, the SBPR (Svensk Branschförening Profil- och Reklamartikler) and the PWA (Promotion Wholesalers Association). According to the organisers, in total 2,585 visitors from the promotional products trade – which is slightly less than the attendance figure of the Promotionmässan in January (2,781). The organisers were nevertheless satisfied with the outcome and particularly praised the positive atmosphere in the aisles.
Once again, the fair was accompanied by a congress programme: Seminars were held on all three days of the fair, among other things on the themes trend-spotting, sales, company and personnel management as well as addressing the current developments within the international promotional products industry. The next winter edition of Promotionmässan is scheduled to take place in the Kistamässan from January 13-15, 2015.
