B – After the premiere of the PromGifts last year, Belgium’s only promotional products show that addresses users was held for the second time from March 19-21, 2014. The Belgian industry association BAPP (Belgian Association of Promotional Products), which jointly organised the show at the Tour&Taxis in Brussels together with the exhibition organisers Roularta and Advanced Fair, had modified the concept of the show in a pioneering way: Whereas in 2013 the exhibitors were almost exclusively promotional products distributors, this year almost 50 manufacturers and importers exhibited their products and services in the so-called “International Manufacturers Showroom”. The suppliers’ zone formed the focal point of the exhibition hall and located in a lobby area and black Baldachin was clearly separated from the stands of the approx. 40 distributors, which were positioned all around it. Having distributors and suppliers present their products to the users at one and the same show is a novelty in Belgium. The so-called ProDay was staged the day before the actual trade fair opened. This gave the promotional products distributors the opportunity to visit the suppliers stands in advance. According to the organisers, 87 distributors from 52 companies took advantage of this opportunity.

In spite of the uniform stands, the show had an attractive overall appearance.

On the next day, there was plenty of action in the aisles – in spite of the fact that a car crash on the Brussels m otorway ring had caused traffic chaos on the first day of the show. The trade fairs Entreprendre/Ondernemen, Franchising & Partnership and E-Shop Expo, which took place simultaneously in the adjacent halls, also attracted additional visitors. Overall BAPP recorded 5,978 visitors, of whom 946 had preregistered for the PromGifts. The next PromGifts will be staged on March 18 and 19, 2015.
