Switcher: Partner of Fairtrade International

The Max Havelaar-Foundation (Switzerland) awards the Fairtrade label in Switzerland and has currently launched a new, additional trading model that increases the market chances for small farmers in developing countries.

Switcher has already been producing T-shirts made of Fairtrade cotton since 2005 and the company shares the philosophy of Fairtrade and Max Havelaar: fair trading relations and fair wages as a basis for a secure future and improved living conditions. worldwide “Fairtrade Sourcing Program” in collaboration with

manufacturers, consumers and partners. The intention of the programme is to improve the small farmers in developing countries’ sales and trading chances for the raw materials cotton, cocoa and sugar. As the first partner, Switcher has agreed to continually further extend its commitment to Fairtrade cotton and the manufacturers thereof over the next five years. This includes increasing the share of Fairtrade-certified cotton from the current 20% up to 35% of the overall volume.
