A – The marke [ding], Austria’s biggest promotional products show has expanded its concept: The marke[ding] plus took place for the first time in the exhibition centre in Wels from September 17-18, 2013. In addition to the Promotion segment, which according to the official figures comprised of around 90 promotional products suppliers and a number of agencies, the new colour-coordinated areas Event and Communication offered exhibitors from further marketing disciplines, including event agencies, event technicians and exhibition stand constructors, advertising technology providers, direct marketing specialists as well as printing and media service providers the opportunity to present themselves. Overall, the show attracted 190 exhibitors and was an optical highlight. A seminar programme with lectures on both days enhanced the new, holistic approach as well as a first-class evening programme: Embedded in between several spectacular show acts, the nominees for the Caesar, the advertising prize of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Industry, were announced. Furthermore, the organisers presented their own marke[ding] award for outstanding promotional products this year. First place in the category “Promotional Product Novelty 2013” went to the Zipper by Herzog Products, the Naschtaschen (Nibble Bags) by Der Zuckerbäcker snapped up the trophy in the category “Mailing Boosters”.
So, there was a big plus in the offerings, which was rewarded with a plus in the attendance figures: According to the official figures, 2,435 visitors (2012: 1,045) came to the trade fair, which meanwhile attracts guests from all over the country. In 2014 the marke[ding] plus will be staged on October 1 and 2.
