UK – The FESPA London was staged at the ExCel exhibition centre in the British capital from June 25-29, 2013. The trade show for screen, textile and digital print was organised by the international organisation of the same name – an alliance of 37 associations from the screen, textile and digital printing industry, which stages various shows all over the world several times a year.
According to the official figures, over 650 manufacturers and service providers from the printing industry presented their products and services in London, whereby the exhibition was divided up into the areas: Screen, Digital and Fabric. The event was accompanied by a comprehensive supporting programme – among other things the FESPA Awards were presented – and there were several special zones, among them it is especially worth mentioning the PPBA (Promotional Products Business Academy), which was initiated by the French publishing company, 656 Éditions, organisers of the CTCO in Lyon: The aim of the special exhibition was to help companies get a foothold in the promotional products business. In addition to information being provided on the promotional products industry, the products of selected manufacturers and brands were presented, even though the selection was initially restricted to textiles.
Several suppliers of promotional textiles as well a few individual suppliers of other promotional products gave an insight into their product ranges beyond the stands of the special exhibition.
The exact attendance figure was not available at the time of going to press, however according to official accounts the number of attendees was over 22,000. A detailed report will be published in eppi magazine, No. 94 (July 31, 2013).
