UK – The British Promotional Merchandise Association has launched its new Professional Development Programme. According to the association, more than 40 delegates are already studying towards one of the three industry qualifications – Trained in Promotional Merchandise (TPM), Certified in Promotional Merchandise (CPM) and Master in Promotional Merchandise (MPM). The programme is a training tool for anyone working in the promotional products industry and has been created to suit every person within any size company whether they work for a supplier or distributor business. Students study by watching interactive videos from 14 industry subject categories, including customer service, sales, decoration, legal, ethics, marketing, business management and product compliance to name but a few. The more a student studies, the more credits are gained, the greater number of credits they obtain, the further the delegate advances within the three qualifications. Credits are awarded by studying a series of mandatory and elective videos, attending any BPMA led seminars, workshops, regional events and factory visits. Credits will also be allocated to delegates who attend the BPMA Education Day prior to the Trade Only National Show and any industry related trade shows.
