D – On March 20, 2013 the HAPTICA® live celebrated its premiere in the charming ambiance of the E-Werk in Cologne: The new event concept “The Experience of Haptic Advertising”, which was initiated by WA Publishing, met with great interest. 914 people had pre-registered for the event, and ultimately 614 visitors (around a third of whom were industry customers and advertising agencies) didn’t let the sleet and poor road conditions put them off attending the HAPTICA® live ’13 from all over Germany. Industry players also travelled to the event from Finland, England, France, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland. The premiere of the HAPTICA® live focused on constructive discussions and the creative exchange of ideas among suppliers, distributors and industry customers – the event is open to all participants of the value chain within the promotional products distribution business – as such the event succeeded in achieving its goal of improving the standing of the promotional product among the industry customers.
42 exhibitors presented novelties and trends from their line-ups in the main hall. In the adjacent hall two special exhibitions displaying best practice examples and the award-winners of this year’s Promotional Gift Award, demonstrated the creative potential and impact of haptic advertising. Many of the visitors were impressed by the exhibited examples and also praised the broad scope of the exhibition mix of the event that was organised by Brit München. The lecture programme, which included renowned speakers from Sion Kölsch, Farina 1709, IMG and VfL Wolfsburg as well as the both entertaining and diversified prize-ceremony of the Promotional Gift Award winners hosted by Till Barth, proved very popular. The event was rounded off by an evening get-together.
