D – After its acclaimed premiere last year the RemaDays Europe opened its doors for the second time in Hall 1 of the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre from January 7-9, 2013. Recording a total of 187 exhibitors, the event registered slight growth compared to 2012 (167 exhibitors). However, since some of last year’s larger exhibitors had reduced the size of their stands or refrained from exhibiting this year, the overall surface of the RemaDays Europe declined slightly. The Polish organisers, GCJ Intermedia, were satisfied with the increase in exhibitors – above all with the slight increase in German exhibitors – many Eastern European suppliers attended the show with the aim of boosting their export business.
By the time of going to press it was not yet clear as to how the attendance figures have developed. According to the official figures the show was attended by just over 3,000 visitors in 2012 – significantly fewer than the targeted figure of between 10,000 and 15,000. This year the Tuesday was particularly well-attended, however especially Monday afternoon was really quiet. As expected the Wednesday, the day that the PSI started in Düsseldorf, was also rather quiet. The show in Nuremberg was accompanied by a popular seminar programme, furthermore on Tuesday the “Gifts of the Year“ Award was held.
A detailed report will follow in eppi magazine No. 91 (February 13, 2013).
