Promoturk, TR-Istanbul: Orient meets Occident

TR – The 27th edition of Promoturk took place in the CNR Expo in Istanbul from September 20th-23rd, 2012. For the second time the show that is organised by the EUF/ITE under the patronage of the Turkish industry association Promoturk was staged with the PSI (Promotional Product Service Institute) as licensor, accompanied by the slogan “powered by PSI“. According to the official statements this year around 140 exhibitors, including both suppliers and agencies, exhibited at the trade fair. The dominating product groups were watches, calendars and notebooks, bags and textiles, whereby many manufacturers of traditional Turkish craftmanship also showed their colours at the show. In addition to Turkish companies, as always European suppliers or their national representatives showcased their products. The official attendance figure was not available at the time of going to press. Prior to the event the organisers were expecting 12,000 visitors after the Promoturk 2011 was attended by approx. 9,200 visitors – both resellers and users.

During a boat trip organised by Promoturk on the evening of the first exhibition day, the PSI Director Michael Freter announced that Turkey has been selected as the official partner country of the PSI Show 2013. According to Freter, in the meantime after Germany and the Netherlands, Turkish firms form the third largest group of exhibitors in Düsseldorf.
