A – For the second time the marke(ding) didn’t only take place at its traditional venue location in Wels this year, but also in Vienna. And the show continued on its course of further growth: In total 2,397 trade visitors attended the event. The show kicked off with a newly introduced Preview Night on the evening of September 12, 2012, the eve of the actual show, offering visitors from the promotional products business the opportunity to visit the event in the Wels Exhibition Centre, an invitation which 87 people accepted. Then, on September 13, the marke(ding) opened its doors up to the users. According to the official figures 1,045 trade visitors, primarily from Upper and Lower Austria as well as from Bavaria, attended the first venue. The second show followed on September 18, which was held, as in 2011, in the spectacular setting of the Hofburg in Vienna, where the organisers were able to welcome 1,148 trade visitors from the metropolis region and from Eastern Austria. 100 exhibitors were present at both venues including many famous brands, interesting niche suppliers and, as always, several first-time exhibitors. The field was completed once again by service providers from associated marketing disciplines such as the advertising technology, event and multi-sensor technology sectors. The visitors of both venues were given the opportunity to elect the winners of the marke(ding) Award 2012. The winners will be announced soon.
Many of the exhibitors as well as the organisers were highly satisfied with the attendance figure and the outcome of the marke(ding) 2012. The show is organised by the promotional products agency Forum Werbegeschenke, the co-organiser in Vienna is the locally based agency, Nowak Werbeartikel. The trading partners of the marke(ding) are the promotional products agencies Ebetshuber Werbeartikel, kw open, Schrecks Goodies and Bürohandel. It has already been confirmed that the event will take place at both venues again in 2013.
A detailed report will be published in the next issue of eppi magazine, No. 90 (November 28, 2012).
