RUS – The according to own statements “largest international trade fair project in Eastern Europe“ is held twice a year in Moscow, in March and in September. The trade fairs “Gifts Expo“, “Christmas & Festive Decorations“, “Houseware Expo“ and “Costume Jewellery & Accessories“ are organised by Gifts Expo Ltd., under the patronage of the Moscow Government, with the support of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry and further trade associations.
This year’s autumn edition of the “Gifts Expo” – the 19th event so far – was staged from September 18-21, 2012: In the Gostiny Dvor Exhibition Centre, close to the Kremlin, around 300 exhibitors presented their goods to the visitors, who comprised of trade and agency players as well as marketing representatives and industry customers.
The exhibitors are manufacturers and importers, but also brand distributors and representatives, divided up into the areas “Gifts & Interior Decorations“, “Business Gifts, Souvenirs, Elite Stationery“ and “Tableware & Dining Decor“. Many promotional products players were found in the Business Gifts zone. The showcased items were dominated by articles from the various regions of Russia and the former Soviet republics as well as by highly-priced gifts.
The official attendance figure and number of participating exhibitors were not available at the time of going to press. According to the organisers 590 exhibitors took part in the fair last year on exhibition space covering 18,800 m², including 64 foreign suppliers from 16 countries. The spring event is scheduled from March 18-21, 2013 and will also be staged in the Gostiny Dvor exhibition complex.
