CZ – From March 20-23, 2012 the 19th edition of the Reklama-Polygraf – the trade fair for advertising, media, printing and packaging – took place at the exhibition centre in Prague, the Czech capital, albeit in a considerably reduced format. Last year’s figure of 200 exhibitors certainly doesn’t seem to have been matched. The exhibitors presented their portfolios to distributors, marketing experts, but also to graphic designers, schoolchildren and students. As usual the promotional products players made up the largest group of exhibitors in terms of numbers and they were accompanied by representatives from the sign marketing, publishing, advertising technology, pre-press and printing sectors.
Although the official attendance figures were not available at the time of going to press, evidently less visitors attended the show than in the past. The seminar and lecture programme of POPAI (Point-of-Purchase-Advertising-International), who also exhibited at the fair, proved on the other hand to be extremely popular.
